A few pictures taken during a talk Charlotte gave in Lviv, a beautiful city in Western Ukraine…

Below are some images taken two years ago during a series of talks Charlotte delivered in the beautiful city of Lviv in Western Ukraine. Charlotte was invited in January 2020 to Lviv to talk about Charlotte Rowe Garden Design’s work to fellow landscape designers and gardeners from all over Ukraine. Landscape design is still a young, but growing industry in the country.

Charlotte has been in touch with the hosts of the talk in light of Putin’s invasion of their country - they say that Lviv is quiet and not yet under fire, but that Kyiv is ‘HELL’ - a landscape designer close to them has already been killed in Kyiv while protecting his home. Looking back at these photos reminds us just how close this is, and it is sobering to think that these people’s lives may now be irrevocably changed by the invasion.
